How does the Electro Silica heating system work?

Electro
Silica = Hot water on demand with instant and continuous flow
Mains water enters into the Electro Silica boiler as the user requires. The heating system will be controlled by taps, heating timing
devices or the demands of an industrial process.
As a demand for water is made the magnetron fires up and bombards it with microwaves.
These microwaves excite the water molecules providing heat to the required temperature.
Water exits the unit into either the heating system or the hot
water pipes.
Additional information
The microwave continuous flow and linear water heater consists of a closed chamber into
which microwaves at a frequency of 2450mhz are introduced via magnetrons.
The water heater is characterised by a chamber of
truncated conical section having a concave base, of stainless steel construction, wherein
no adjacent sections are at right angles thus preventing generation of refraction and
diffraction waves. |

The base of the chamber serves as a reflecting dish to direct energy
towards the silica based flexible coil disposed against the chamber wall.
The silica based coil is a spiral led inside the chamber and is terminated to inlet and
outlet glands.
These allow for a continuous flow of water to pass through the coil in any direction
depending upon the application and/or the plumbing arrangements in which it is being used.
As the 21st Century finds its feet, it becomes clearer
that we must change how we are using carbon based fuels. We are consuming resources too
fast and if we are to reduce pollution and hazardous waste, we must be ready for the time
when oil, gas and coal become prohibitively expensive in scarcity and are no more. We also
need to be more efficient so the resources we have last longer and to reduce & resist
spiralling energy costs that affect every aspect of business and personal life. Existing
thinking will not be enough. We need new ideas to create new industries providing cleaner
technologies that make more efficient use of resources. Our Microwave water heating systems are one invention capable of making
this type of impact. It is quite simply the best invention of the decade.

How safe is Electro Silica ? Very, very safe
What about Servicing and
Maintenance?

Given that this is not an ignition system (there is no
direct burning of a fuel) and gas is not present, regular servicing is not necessary.
Depending on use, servicing is only required once every two or three years.
Of course your plumbing system may need attention inside this period, however the boiler
will not be adding to your costs.
Our water heating systems, being based on the microwave
technology, offer this advantage: servicing is a simple unplug-remove-replace-reconnect
operation that one of our skilled technicians can carry out in a few minutes. |
| So, irrespective of whether it is for the heating system of an office complex or a domestic house, it is a
simple replacement and will take no longer than 30 minutes. It might even take them longer
to "drink their cup of tea" than unplug the old magnetron and replace it with
the new one. A "servicing required" light will come on the control panel when
the efficiency starts to drop. So the Electro Silica water heating
system will even tell you when your boiler needs attention. The "servicing
required" indication will happen 2 to 3 months before the part needs replacing so
there is plenty of time to book in our service engineer when it is convenient for you.
Because the microwave unit is a sealed, one-piece unit there is no danger from microwave
leakage. The old magnetrons are sent back for recycling and safe disposal of the parts
that cannot be recovered. As regular maintenance of the boiler is unnecessary, overall
maintenance costs for the Electro Silica boiler will be considerably less than that for
traditional gas or oil fired systems. |
